William “Bill” Hoffman

Chairman | Miami

Mr. Hoffman is a co-founding Principal of Apollo Aviation. From 1992 to 2002, Mr. Hoffman practiced law. He was the Managing Partner of Hoffman & Hoffman where he specialized in aviation, and at Arthur Moller, P.A. From 1986 to 1992, Mr. Hoffman was a Commercial Lending Officer and Credit Administrator with Plaza Bank of Miami. Mr. Hoffman holds a JD, cum laude, from the University of Miami and a MS in Finance and a BBA from Florida International University.

Robert Korn

President | Miami

Mr. Korn is a co-founding Principal of Apollo Aviation. Mr. Korn has over 24 years of experience in the aviation industry with a background that includes a position at Pegasus Aviation, where he was Vice President of Marketing. Prior to joining Pegasus, he was Director of Sales and Marketing at BF Goodrich (formerly Rohr) responsible for worldwide marketing and sales for its Super 27 Program along with corporate treasury and cash management positions. Mr. Korn holds a MBA in Finance from the University of San Diego and a BA in Economics from UCLA.

David Treitel

Special Advisor | Miami

Mr. Treitel joined Apollo Aviation in 2010. Mr. Treitel was formerly Chairman, CEO and President of SH&E, Inc., the world’s largest aviation consultancy. Mr. Treitel was also Co-Chair of the Energy, Climate and Transportation Practice of ICF International; a NASDAQ listed consulting company that owns SH&E, Inc. In addition, Mr. Treitel is a Trustee of three aircraft leasing securitizations known as AFT, LIFT and Castle 2003-2, and was formerly a Trustee of another aircraft leasing securitization called Castle 2003-1. Mr. Treitel was formerly a member of the Board of Directors of TransDigm, Inc. and Midwest Express Holdings, Inc., the parent company of Midwest Express Airlines. Mr. Treitel was a Trustee of the ISTAT Foundation and a former Governor of the Wings Club. Mr. Treitel holds a MBA from Columbia University and a BA from Middlebury College.

Pascal Picano

Senior Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer | Dublin

Mr. Picano joined Apollo Aviation in 2013. He is based in Dublin, Ireland as Global Head of Marketing. Mr. Picano has over 20 years’ experience in aviation. Mr. Picano has held positions in sales and marketing for large and small companies across the sector, such as SAFRAN in France and China, Swissair Group in Switzerland, China and the U.S., GA Telesis in the U.S., Sumitomo Corp. in the Netherlands and ILFC in the Netherlands. Mr. Picano has been instrumental in originating and completing transactions of all types around the world. Mr. Picano has diplomas from the Institute Superieur de Gestion (member of French Hautes Ecoles de Commerce) and UC Berkeley.

Robert Taylor

Senior Vice President & Chief Technical Officer | Miami

Mr. Taylor joined Apollo Aviation in 2007. Mr. Taylor has over 30 years of aviation technical experience. Prior to Apollo Aviation, Mr. Taylor was Managing Director – Aviation for S.E.B. Corporation managing its fleets of corporate aircraft. From 1997 to 2006, Mr. Taylor was employed at WestJet Airlines in Canada, last holding the position of Director of Technical Services and Purchasing. Mr. Taylor has also held positions at Turbowest Helicopters, Pratt & Whitney Canada and Canadian Airlines International.  Mr. Taylor has a BTEC national diploma in Aeroscience (Mechanical) and is accredited by the Engineering Council of the UK as an Engineering Technician (EngTech), as well as a Member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (MRAeS) and Chartered Management Institute of UK (MCMI).  Additionally, Mr. Taylor holds a Transport Canada Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License (AME) with multiple ratings.

Javier Meireles

Chief Financial Officer | Miami

Mr. Meireles joined Apollo Aviation in 2010 from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), where he was an Audit Manager. Mr. Meireles worked with PwC for seven years and his industry focus was public registrants, particularly in the transportation and logistics industry. Mr. Meireles played an integral role in supporting his clients with public debt offerings, SEC comment letters and technical accounting matters. Mr. Meireles has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Florida and a Masters of Accountancy from Florida International University. Mr. Meireles is a licensed CPA in the state of Florida and a member of the FICPA and AICPA.

Z. Clifton Dameron

Chief Compliance Officer and Senior Vice President| Miami 

Mr. Dameron joined Apollo Aviation in 2015 as Senior Vice President - Commercial. In this role Mr. Dameron assists in the commercial operations of Apollo Aviation where he has varied responsibilities. Prior to joining Apollo Aviation, from 2007 to 2015, Mr. Dameron was with Sciens Capital Management LLC (Sciens), a New York based alternative investment manager, where he was responsible for legal matters relating to Sciens' private equity activities. Previous to Sciens, Mr. Dameron was a Corporate Associate with Bingham McCutchen LLP and Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP. Mr. Dameron has a BA in History from Southern Methodist University, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa, and a JD from Tulane University School of Law. Mr. Dameron is admitted to practice law in California and New York.

 

Jordan Sulkin

Vice President – Marketing and Investor Relations | Miami

Mr. Sulkin joined Apollo Aviation in 2014. From 2006 until 2014, Mr. Sulkin was Director of Marketing and Investor Relations at Trilogy Capital, a credit-oriented hedge fund. From 2004 until 2006 he was a Principal in the Capital Introductions Group at Bank of America Securities. Mr. Sulkin began his career as an Investment Analyst with Global Asset Management (GAM) in the firm’s Multi-Manager Group before joining Renaissance Technologies’ Meritage Group in 1999, where he spent approximately five years and served as a Senior Investment Analyst responsible for sourcing hedge fund managers and performing due diligence for the group’s portfolio of external hedge fund managers. Mr. Sulkin earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Skidmore College.

 

Marcus Miller

Vice President - Dublin Operations | Dublin

Mr. Miller joined Apollo Aviation in 2008. Prior to Apollo, Mr. Miller worked at KPMG where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2007. Mr. Miller holds a BMus degree from University College Dublin in addition to a HDip in Business Studies and IT, and a MSc in Management from University College Dublin Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. Mr. Miller is responsible for the daily operations of the Dublin office.

John Logan

Vice President - Finance | Dublin

Mr. Logan joined Apollo Aviation in 2011 as a Pricing Analyst until 2012. From 2012 to 2015 Mr. Logan was in the role of Pricing Manager.  In 2015 Mr. Logan was promoted to Director of Finance.  He held the role until 2016 when he was promoted to Vice President of Finance.  In his current role Mr. Logan is responsible for assisting in the monitoring of the AASET 2014-1 securitization.  Additionally, Mr. Logan is actively involved in the analysis of new acquisitions and management of the current portfolio activities and strategy.  Mr. Logan has a BSc in Economics and Finance and a HDip in Actuarial Science from University College Dublin, as well as a MSc in Finance from University College Dublin Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Patricia Reiss

Vice President – Legal | Miami

Mrs. Reiss joined Apollo Aviation in 2010 and has 40 years’ experience in commercial aviation.  The first 20 years of her aviation career was spent with Eastern Airlines in the Engineering & Maintenance Division, with the majority spent in the Engine Service Center and 4 years in Aircraft Production Planning.    She then spent 14 years at AeroThrust Corporation, Amtec, and Aercap in management positions related to engine sales and leasing, and contract management.    She received a B.S. in Information Management from Florida International University and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Legal department.

 

Eric Blanco

Vice President – Accounting | Miami

Mr. Blanco joined Apollo Aviation in 2013 from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), where he was an Audit Manager. Mr. Blanco worked with PwC for six years with an industry focus in transportation and logistics.  Mr. Blanco played an integral role in supporting his public and non-public clients with development and evaluation of internal control programs for both design and operational effectiveness, public debt offerings, and various multi-jurisdictional technical tax and accounting matters. Mr. Blanco graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Accounting and later earned a Master of Accounting from the University of Florida. Mr. Blanco is a licensed CPA in the state of Florida and a member of the FICPA and AICPA.

 

Julien Basset

Vice President – Marketing | Dublin

Mr. Basset joined Apollo Aviation in January 2014, focusing primarily on marketing to Europe, Southeast Asia and French-speaking African airlines.  After graduation from French Civil Aviation School in Toulouse in 2004, he set up, together with Thai Airways executives, a Thailand-based low cost carrier called Nok Air.  His roles included fleet management, long term technical partnerships (MRO, PBH, leasing companies) and Quality Assurance Director.  In late 2008, Mr. Basset joined SGI Aviation in Singapore, working exclusively with AerCap in Asia Pacific, in charge of technical delivery, re-delivery, purchase, buy-out and re-possession.  In 2010, he moved to Boeing’s Shanghai office, where he managed sales for Southeast Asian/Indian/Chinese customers and leasing companies, and was responsible for Aircraft Transition Services & Fleet Technical Management products.

Andrea Yelverton

Vice President – Marketing | Dublin

Ms. Yelverton joined Apollo Aviation in 2015 as Vice President, Marketing.  In her current role, Ms. Yelverton is responsible for Russia, India, Sub-Saharan Africa as well as the UK, Turkey, and middle and northern Europe.  From 2012 to 2015, Ms. Yelverton was Marketing Officer at Dublin-based lessor CIT International, supporting the marketing function in regions such as Russia, CIS, India as well as Europe. Prior to that, Ms. Yelverton held several technical and engineering positions at AerCap including engine leasing and aircraft forward order definitions as Technical Manager.  Ms. Yelverton holds a Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering and a Bachelor of Business in Aviation and Transport. 

Kate Holohan

Vice President - Pricing & Financial Analysis | Dublin 

Ms. Holohan joined Apollo Aviation in 2012 as a Pricing Analyst, holding this role until she was promoted to Director of Pricing in 2016. In her current role, Ms. Holohan is primarily responsible for the analysis of new acquisitions, including interfacing with third party sellers. Ms. Holohan holds a B.A (Mod) in Economics and Business from Trinity College Dublin, as well as an MSc in Finance from University College Dublin Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School.

Dan Logan

Vice President - Portfolio Management | Dublin 

Mr. Logan joined Apollo Aviation in 2012 as a Pricing Analyst. Mr. Logan has subsequently worked as a Portfolio Analyst and currently holds the role of Director, Portfolio Management. Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Logan completed a PhD in manufacturing design and control system engineering from University College Dublin, where previously he completed a BE degree. In his current role, Mr. Logan is actively involved in the analysis and management of the current portfolio activities and strategy, as well as fund performance reporting and presentation.

Peter Blakeney

Vice President - Aircraft Trading | Dublin

Mr. Blakeney joined Apollo Aviation as a Financial Analyst in 2010. Mr Blakeney changed to the role of Contracts Manager in 2012 before moving to AerCap in 2014. In 2015 Mr Blakeney re-joined Apollo Aviation in the role of Director of Origination where he is responsible for trading and developing new business relations. Prior to Apollo Aviation, Mr Blakeney worked in Engineering as a Project Manager in Perth, Australia. Mr Blakeney has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (B. Sc. (Ing)) from Trinity College Dublin and a Masters of Management (MiM) from University College Dublin Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School. Mr Blakeney also holds a Diploma in Aviation Leasing and Finance from the Law Society of Ireland.

 

Jason Avdenko

Vice President – Compliance and Commercial | Miami

Mr. Avdenko joined Apollo Aviation in 2014 from Millennium Management LLC, where he was an Operations Control Specialist. Upon joining Apollo Aviation, Mr. Avdenko was the Senior Manager of Operations and Accounting in AAG Capital Markets, the SEC-registered affiliate of Apollo Aviation. Prior to Millennium, Mr. Avdenko worked at Aksia LLC, ultimately as a Senior Operational Due Diligence Analyst. While at Aksia, Mr. Avdenko performed operational due diligence reviews on over 100 hedge funds across diverse strategies and asset classes. Prior to Aksia, Mr. Avdenko worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC), ultimately as a Senior Associate, where he provided consulting services to hedge fund clients. Mr. Avdenko has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York. Mr. Avdenko is a CFA Charterholder, a licensed CPA in the state of New York, a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Financial Services Auditor.

John Konkoly

Director of Risk | Dublin 

Mr. Konkoly joined Apollo Aviation in 2012 as a Financial Analyst in the Asset Management Team. In 2013, Mr. Konkoly transferred to the role of Senior Research Analyst in AAG Capital Markets in Miami.  In 2015, Mr. Konkoly transitioned back to Apollo Aviation in Dublin to assume his current role as Director of Risk.  In his current role, Mr. Konkoly heads the Credit Team and is responsible for the credit and risk analyses of Apollo Aviation’s lessees.  Mr. Konkoly has a BComm in International Commerce with Italian and an MSc in Finance from University of Dublin, Trinity College.

Daniel Abreu

Senior Accounting Manager | Miami 

Mr. Abreu joined Apollo Aviation in 2010 as Accounting Manager of our Sciens Aviation Special Opportunities Fund.  Mr. Abreu has over 15 years of experience, including finance at various Fortune 500 companies.  Prior to Apollo Aviation, Mr. Abreu held positions in the accounting department of Exxon Mobil Corp., Lennar Corporation, IVAX Pharmaceuticals, Inc., and Stiefel Laboratories, Inc.  Mr. Abreu was promoted to Senior Accounting Manager in 2014 and his primary responsibility are the daily operations of the Accounting Department.  Mr. Abreu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Florida International University.

Lisa Heck

Senior Accounting Manager | Miami 

Ms. Heck joined Apollo Aviation Group in 2010.   Ms. Heck has over 20 years’ experience in corporate accounting and finance, including five years as a Division Controller for Worldwide Flight Services.  Ms. Heck has a BA in Business and Economics from Wheaton College.  Ms. Heck is a licensed CPA in the state of Illinois and a member of the AICPA.   

Tiffany Kolb

Associate Counsel | Miami 

Ms. Kolb joined Apollo Aviation in 2013.  Prior to joining Apollo Aviation, Ms. Kolb worked for three years as Assistant General Counsel to an aircraft leasing and parts company and for a private investment firm.  Ms. Kolb has held clerkship positions at the Office of Chief Counsel of the IRS and a leading international law firm.  Ms. Kolb holds a JD and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Miami and BA from Queens College, the City University of New York.  Ms. Kolb is admitted to practice law in the State of Florida

Samir Patel

Associate Counsel | Miami

Mr. Patel joined Apollo Aviation in 2015 as Associate Counsel. Prior to joining Apollo Aviation, Mr. Patel held positions in the in-house legal department of an aircraft operating lessor, the transportation and space group at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP and the corporate group at Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP.  Mr. Patel has a B.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a J.D., magna cum laude, from Notre Dame Law School.  Mr. Patel is admitted to practice law in New York.

Ciana Casey

Corporate Counsel | Dublin

Ms. Casey joined Apollo Aviation in 2013. Prior to joining Apollo, Ms. Casey worked at Von Essen Consulting where she held the role of International Compliance Manager. Ms. Casey holds a BCL degree from University College Dublin, in addition to a Master of Laws in Public International Law from University College London and was admitted to the State Bar of New York Appellate Division, Third Department, in February 2013. In her current role Ms. Casey works with Apollo’s General Counsel and Vice President of Legal on matters ranging from fleet transactions to financings and securitizations.
